Can I put a non-airbag steering wheel on Audi?

I have an M-registered (1995) Audi 80 avant. It has a (rather worn) 4-spoke leather-bound airbag steering wheel. I’d like to replace it with a three-spoke leather sports one. I understand that I should disconnect the battery and wait half-an-hour before attempting anything (to avoid airbag detonation), but a few questions remain:
1. How do I ensure indicator cancelling continues to work?
2. Can I prevent airbag light coming on? I’ve seen Momo wheel bosses for this purpose for other cars, but not for mine.
3. Will it pass its MOT without airbag?

- There are kits for that but don’t do it your self if they go off it can injure you or cause a lot of damage to your car.
the kits have a sensor that thinks there is still a airbag so the light stays off and the passenger bag still works.

- Yes you can, but why would you want to? You might want to check the laws; but I would leave the airbag in unless there’s a heath reason that makes it dangerous.

- Yes you can but you will have to have the E.C.U. = engine control unit re-set so that it will not read the air bag sender unit… if this is not done you will have a constant beep and that annoying light flashing on you cluster speedo control unit.
